Johnson ran well all weekend long in Denver, Colorado. “It was a fairy tale weekend,” said Johnson. “This was a Mopar event and we were the fastest car and No. 1 qualifier. We’ve been a win waiting to happen since the first of the year and just hadn’t gotten a break.” It had been thirteen years since a Mopar had won Pro Stock at an event they sponsored.

“Going into the finals we knew it was going to be tough,” said Johnson. “Ron Krisher was fast all day and I knew it was going to be close. Every run we made was pretty awesome. We were on our game.”
