1967 Ford Mustang Built by GT Motorsports Hits the Car Show Circuit

GT Motorsports in Modesto, California built a modern 1967 Ford Mustang built with period correct parts. This is the second time Thomas Cope and his son Thomas have changed the look of the car.

“My dad bought it from a salvage pool in 1984,” said Thomas Cope. “The original 1967 had a 289 two barrel automatic and was spring time yellow. My dad said we can fix this and we did. That was in 1990.”

1967 Ford Mustang was purchased from a salvage pool in 1984, since then it has had two restorations by GT Motorsports.

The owners of GT Motorsports took a second look and busted it down to nothing. These are the modifications father and son made on their 67.

“We restore and build custom cars,” said Cope. “I’ve been doing this all my life because my dad does it. We used K&N products on the Mustang because it fits well and compliments the racing style. The GT Motorsports 1967 Mustang will be on display at the Sacramento Autorama, San Francisco Rod and Custom, Fresno Autorama, SEMA and various Northern California Good Guy shows.
